Hyperhidrosis

A certain amount of sweating is completely normal - especially when it's hot, during sport or when you're excited. However, if excessive sweating occurs even without physical exertion or in mild temperatures, this is known as hyperhidrosis. For those affected, this is not only a physical problem, but also a very stressful social problem. Particularly in professional or private life, heavy sweating can lead to insecurity, withdrawal and reduced self-esteem.

Hyperhidrosis treatment Berlin

Causes

Hyperhidrosis is caused by hyperfunction of the sweat glands - often without any recognisable trigger. Although the sweat glands in all people react to stimuli such as heat, physical activity or emotional tension, they react excessively in the case of hyperhidrosis.

The result: excessive sweating of the hands, feet, armpits or even the whole body - even at rest or at moderate temperatures. The cause is often idiopathic, i.e. it is not due to another illness, but is an independent disorder.

Treatments

Botulinum therapy

A proven and particularly effective method for treating hyperhidrosis. Botulinum is injected specifically into the affected areas, where it interrupts the transmission of signals to the sweat glands. The result: significantly reduced sweat production - usually over a period of several months.

Morpheus8®

This minimally invasive method combines deep-acting microneedling with radio frequency energy. Fine needles penetrate the skin and emit targeted heat to obliterate the overactive sweat glands. The treatment requires no downtime and can reduce perspiration in the long term - without surgery.
